Pimpri Chinchwad traffic Police launches special drive to collect pending fines
Pimpri Chinchwad Police’s Traffic Branch has launched a special drive to collect pending fines from motorists in the Chakan, Bhosari, Talegaon industrial areas, as well as Hinjewadi, Talwade, and Chikhali IT Park areas, which fall under the jurisdiction of the Pimpri Chinchwad Commissionerate. With a large number of citizens working in these areas and using two-wheelers and four-wheelers on a daily basis, traffic rules are being violated on a large scale, leading to punitive action being taken against those who break the rules.
However, it has been observed that a large amount of fines remains unpaid despite efforts to enforce the rules. On the orders of Police Commissioner Vinay Kumar Choubey, a special campaign is being implemented within the limits of Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate to collect unpaid fines.
During the campaign, traffic department officials will collect the unpaid fines from motorists, and motorists are urged to pay any outstanding fines through the Mahatraffic app or at the nearest traffic department. Those who fail to pay their fines will face legal action, and cases will be filed against them in court.
