The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) organized a plogathon recently to spread awareness about anti-littering and promote a clean and green city. The event was held from Bhakti Shakti Bus Terminal Chowk to Triveni Chowk.

The plogathon saw the participation of people from all walks of life, including PCMC officials, environmentalists, and concerned citizens. The participants ran or walked the route, picking up litter along the way.

The initiative aimed to encourage people to take responsibility for keeping their surroundings clean and to promote waste segregation and management. The PCMC officials distributed garbage bags and gloves to the participants to collect and dispose of the waste they collected responsibly.

The plogathon concluded with an anti-littering oath, in which all the participants pledged to keep their surroundings clean and green, and promote responsible waste management practices. The event received a positive response from the people, who appreciated the PCMC’s efforts to promote a clean and green city.

“PCMC is committed to keeping the city clean and has been taking various initiatives to promote sustainable waste management practices. The plogathon is just one of many events the PCMC has organized to encourage citizens to take an active role in keeping the city clean and green” said Ulhas Jagtap, Additional Commissioner PCMC.
