Pimpri Chinchwad’s Biggest Ravana Dahan Programme To Be Held In Pimple Saudagar
Ravana Dahan programme will be organised on October 24 in Pimple Saudagar
Pune : On Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at 6 pm, the Ravana Dahan programme in Pimpri-Chinchwad will be organised by the ex corporator Shatrughan Kate along with Youth Foundation on the occasion of Vijaya dashami.
The programme will take place in front of Govind Yashda Chowk in the Nexa Showroom in Pimple Saudagar. This year, a 120-foot-tall replica of Ravana will be erected. The replica of Ravana is being made using materials such as bamboo, sticks, needles, cardboard, nails, and ropes.
The event promises a unique experience for all the citizens in attendance, with various activities and special guests. Sunil Anil Tilakdhari will be present and will travel from Haryana to be a part of the festival.
Additionally, the event will feature Hrita Durgule, known for her role in the popular series “Time Pass 3,” Akshaya Deodhar, famous for her role in “Tujyat Jeev Rangla,” and Pravin Tarde, a well-known director and actor.
As per the information provided, Chetan Agarwal, Neetu Agarwal, and RJ Akshay will serve as the anchors for the show. Ravana, also known as “Dasha Mukha or Dashanan,” was a scholar and the most knowledgeable man of his time. His ten heads symbolise ten negative tendencies, including lust, pride, ego, infatuation, anger, greed, jealousy, hatred, and fear.
On the occasion of Dussehra, the burning of Ravana’s replica symbolises the triumph of good over bad and knowledge over ignorance. To eradicate evil thoughts, deceit, and malice, it is essential to first eliminate these tendencies within ourselves.
