According to recent news, a precautionary dose of the iNCOVACC vaccine will be available at eight vaccination centers in the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) from 8-15 May. The vaccine will be given to beneficiaries above 60 years of age, with 20 doses of the vaccine given daily at each center. All beneficiaries will be vaccinated between 9.30 am to 4.30 pm, and the vaccination centers will remain closed on Sundays.

PCMC has also prioritized disabled, senior citizens, and transgenders beneficiaries for the iNCOVACC vaccination at all the vaccination centers. Citizens who have completed six months or 26 weeks after the second dose of Covishield or Covaxin can also receive the vaccine. On-the-spot registration will be available, and the vaccine will be administered via the nose.

The vaccination process will be carried out based on the criteria issued by the government. The availability of the iNCOVACC vaccine is expected to provide additional options for people to protect themselves against COVID-19.
