Pune : SPPU holds summer camps for children

The Center for Science Education and Communication at Savitribai Phule Pune University has started summer camps for students during their summer holidays. The camps are aimed at providing children with fun and educational activities during their break from school.

The camps have different activities organized for students in the age group of classes 5-10. These camps will be for two days each and will have batches. The fee for the camp is Rs 450 per student, and online registration is required.

The activities in the camp include nature tours, science games, chemistry, gardening, astronomy, mathematics, and discussions with experts in bioweapons, science toys, and visiting the university premises. The coordinator of Science Park, RL Devpurkar, stated that students now have the option to spend their time doing things that kids like.

The one-day camp was conducted for the students of class 2nd to 4th from 2nd May to 4th May. The two-day camps are being held from 8th to 23rd May, and all the information about the dates and other details is available on the university’s website. With the schools on vacation due to the end of the summer session exams and set to start on 15th June, organizations are prioritizing various activities to make summer vacation fun for children.
