Pimpri News : PCMC to charge for garbage collection
A monthly service fee will be charged by Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation from each house beginning from April 1. The fee ranges from 60 rupees to 2,000 rupees.
The tax bills will be used to pay for this cost. Owners of residential property will be required to pay Rs 720 annually for garbage segregation.
The amount will be billed into the property tax bill. The PCMC took the decision under the Central Govt’s Environment, Forests, CLimate Change Ministry’s April 8, 2016 GR.
State govt’s July 1, 2019 cleanliness and health policy has fixed usage fee to all the municipal corporations. The proposal was passed by the general body meeting held on October 20, 2021.
The charges are as below :
- House – Rs 60
- Shops, Clinics – Rs 90
- Furniture, Auto, Electronics Showroom – Rs 160
- Godown – Rs 160
- Hotels – Rs 160
- Lodging and Dining Hotels – 200
- 50 Bedded hospital – 160
- More than 50 bed hospital – 240
- Educational Institutes, Hostels – Rs 120
- Religious Organisations – 120
- Mangal Karyalaya and Cinema Halls – 2000
- Shopping Centers and Multiplex – Rs 2000
Seasonal Shoppee, Anand Mela, Satsang, Food Festival, Fire Crackers Stall – One time fee
