Pimpri News : Zero tolerance against crimes at Chakan Industrial Belt, says IPS Vinay Choubey

Pune: Pimpri-Chinchwad police conducted a meeting on January 19, with Federation of Chakan Industries and other representatives of the companies to discuss a range of issues. Police also assured to weed out all anti-social elements operating in the Chakan industrial belt.

Vinay Kumar Choubey, Pimpri-Chinchwad police commissioner, said, “We understood the problems being faced by the industry people and assured them of strict action on trouble makers . We also requested them to come forward and lodge a police compliant so it will be easier for us to take proper action against them.’’

Secretary of Federation of Chakan Industries, Dilip Batwal, secretary, said, “Extortion, robbery, threatening, womens crimes,traffic, road and likewise many issues were discussed during meeting and police officers assured to solve these on a priority basis.’’

In his recent Pune visit, deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis instructed all senior police officers to take strict action against all anti social elements operating in the industrial belt in and around the Pune city. On the backdrop of it, this meeting was called by Pimpri-Chinchwad police.

Along with Choubey, Pune city police commissioner Ritesh Kumar, Kolhapur Range’s special inspector general Sunil Phulare, Pune rural superintendent of police Ankit Goyal, Joint CP Pune city police Sandip Karnik were present at the meeting held at Bridgestone company.
