Pimpri : PCMC Launches Reels Making Competition To Encourage Timely Payment Of Property Tax

Pune: After holding a memes contest last year, the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has announced a reels-making competition to spread the message of timely property tax payment.
Speaking to Pune Pulse, Nilesh Deshmukh, Assistant Commissioner, Tax Department, PCMC said, “In the memes contest organized last year, citizens made creative memes urging tax defaulters to pay taxes. Similarly, this year we have organized a reels-making competition. Those who upload innovative reels to attract the attention of citizens to pay their property tax by June 30 will get awarded. Reel creators should create reels by June 30 to register themselves for the contest.”
As per information by the tax department of PCMC, currently, social messages are given through songs, jokes, and graphics through reels as it has become a popular medium among citizens. The tax collection department has organized a competition in which the winner will get Rs 5000. Rs 3000 and Rs 2000 will be given to second and third place respectively. The reels will be publicized through the social media channel of the municipality.

As per information, 2 lakh 26 thousand properties have paid property tax till date and an amount of Rs 290 crores have been collected till date.
