Pune, January 31, 2025 – The planned power outage for maintenance work on high-voltage transmission lines of Pune Metro and Mahapareshan (Maharashtra State Electricity And Distribution Company Limited) on the Shivajinagar to Hinjewadi route has been postponed. As a result, power supply in Shivajinagar, Ganeshkhind, and Deccan areas will continue as usual on Saturday, February 1.

The metro construction on the Shivajinagar-Hinjewadi corridor includes work on underground 132 kV power lines. Initially, power supply from the 220/132 kV Ganeshkhind and Chinchwad substations, along with the GKRS ultra-high voltage substation in Kothrud, was scheduled to be suspended for the day. This would have affected residents in Shivajinagar, Deccan, and Ganeshkhind, with a planned outage from 8 AM to the evening on February 1.

However, authorities have now postponed the maintenance work, ensuring uninterrupted power supply from these substations. Consequently, all areas, including Shivajinagar, Ganeshkhind, and Deccan, will continue to receive electricity as usual.
