Traffic Diversions in Pune on April 14 for Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti Celebrations
To accommodate the large number of devotees expected to visit Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati Temple on Shri Ganesh Jayanti, traffic arrangements in the central area will be modified. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic Branch) Amol Zende has announced traffic diversions for the upcoming celebrations at Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati Temple.
Anticipating a large influx of devotees from the city and suburbs, Chhatrapati Shivaji Road will be closed to traffic from Saturday morning. To facilitate smooth traffic flow, PMP buses and vehicles traveling from Shivajinagar to Swargate will be rerouted via S. Go. Barve Chowk (Modern Cafe Chowk), Jhanshichi Rani Chowk, Junglee Maharaj Road, Khandobijababa Chowk, and Tilak Chowk before proceeding towards Swargate.
In case of increased congestion, traffic on Lakshmi Road will be rerouted through an alternative route to ensure a smooth flow of traffic.
To ensure smooth traffic flow, vehicles traveling from Barve Chowk to Mahapalika Bhavan will be rerouted through Jhansi Rani Chowk. Additionally, the stretch between Appa Balwant Chowk and Budhwar Chowk (Hutatma Chowk) will be closed to traffic, and vehicles will need to take a detour via Appa Balwant Chowk to reach their desired destination.
If the congestion increases, vehicles approaching Belbag Chowk on Laxmi Road will be diverted to an alternative route to alleviate traffic.
