Pune: In order to ease traffic congestion, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has started removing the cycle track near Vaiduwadi on the Hadapsar-BRTS road. It will help solve daily traffic jams & bottlenecks in the area.

As per information, after technical instructions given by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, the PMC has started the work of removing the cycle track in the Hadapsar area from Monday night i.e. August 28

The cycle track obstructs the traffic and its removal will lead to the widening of the road which will help get rid of traffic jams.

It is worthy to note that Pawar had come to Hadapsar a few days ago to inaugurate the 106 feet tall national flag erected by Hadapsar-Mundhwa ex-corporator Yogesh Sasane.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Sasane said, “The Hadapsar-Vaiduwadi road will be widened due to the removal of this cycle track which will majorly help in easing traffic congestion. Not sure when the PMC will complete this work but mostly it will be completed soon. Along with this, the removal of bus stops between Vaiduwadi & Magarpatta Corner are also on the table.”

Sasane further added that there is a lot of traffic congestion in Hadapsar, and Vaiduwadi areas. This road is a BRT route and there are frequent accidents here. Due to this, there was a demand for widening the road by removing the cycle track here for many days. However, the PMC has finally begun the stalled work of road widening here.
