The Pune Municipal Corporation on Thursday, April 20 announced that the property tax bills will be distributed from May 1 to the property holders as the decision to restore the 40 percent discount in property tax was finalised on Wednesday, April 19. 

The last date for payment of property tax is June 30, and taxpayers who pay during this period will earn a discount of minimum five and maximum ten percent in general tax.

The 40 percent exemption in property tax for self-occupied households has been retained from April 1, 2023 was announced on Wednesday after the cabinet meeting was held. Since the decision was pending for a long period, PMC had not ordered printing of the bills either.
