PMC to install Swach ATM’s in city

Pune Municipal Corporation on October 12, announced that the Swach ATM’s will be installed in the city where the booths will accept plastic bottles and pay the depositor.

Such SWaCH ATMs are already installed in New Delhi and Varanasi said Hemant Rasane, chairman, Standing Committee, Pune Municipal Corporation.

Pune Municipal Corporation has been approached by a private agency who will install these garbage collection units across Pune city where these plastic and glass bottles will be accepted. Plastic bottles will be accepted and a person shall be paid Rs 1 per bottle while Rs 3 will be given per glass bottle.

Over 40 such collection centers (ATM’s) shall be installed across Pune city, 10 in first phase will be installed. These centers will also accept plastic wrappers and cans for which (2 Rupees for cans and 20 paise for cans shall be deposited in the account.)

All this money shall be credited into your bank account directly.
