This year, the campaign will be celebrated from September 15 to October 2, under the joint supervision of the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DDWS) and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. The campaign aims to promote shramdaan activities, which seek to generate people’s movement through community participation.

Its goals include emphasizing the implementation of the Swachh Bharat Mission, spreading awareness about the significance of a sampoorna swachh village (completely clean village), reinforcing the idea that sanitation is everyone’s responsibility, and serving as a prelude to the Swachh Bharat Diwas (October 2) with nationwide participation.

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, along with the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, has urged individuals to join this campaign for a cleaner future. Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has also expressed his support for this initiative.
