Pune : Rainwater accumulation in Ambegaon Budruk Leaves Residents In Trouble

Pune: A lot of rainwater has been accumulating in Ambegaon Budruk area under Baramati Lok Sabha Constituency.
As per further information, Supriya Sule, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MP Supriya Sule took into X to address the issue stating, ‘A large amount of rainwater accumulates every year in the residential area of Ambegaon Budruk, Taluka Haveli, Jijamata Chowk near Pride English School in our Baramati Lok Sabha constituency. There is a big transformer of MSEB in this area. Children, citizens and more come and go in this area. If rainwater accidentally enters this transformer, it can cause a big disaster. Here the drainage line is connected to the monsoon line.”
The tweet further states, ‘Due to this, water accumulates here every year. Citizens have complained about this to the Municipal Corporation, but they say that it is not being taken into consideration. The PMC Municipal Commissioner should pay personal attention here and take an immediate decision regarding the drainage line here and take permanent measures. Mahavitaran should also work on whether the transformer here can be taken to a safe place a little higher from the water.’
