PMPML to hold mega blood donation drive on May 29

Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML), lifeline of both the cities has organised a mega blood donation drive on May 29,2021. 
In the information shared by PMPML, chairman and managing director Dr Rajendra Jagtap, he informed that the target of this blood donation drive is to collect 5000 + bottles. It will be held at  13 depots HO and workshop, total 15 locations. The blood bags collected shall be given to Government hospitals Medical colleges and major hospitals in covid. 

PMPML shall host blood donation drive at the main administration building, Swargate, headquarters 1, 2 and at 13 depots across the city. PMPML plans to collect 5000 blood bags in this mega drive and seeks support from its staff and general public. 

Dr Rajendra Jagtap, chairman and managing director at PMPML said, ‘We had planned to hold this drive on May 1. But experts suggested that we should have it by the end of May. As many would have taken the Vaccination. And The months of June July would be crucial as the state would have shortage of blood supply. Hence we decided to postpone it and planned to hold it on May 29 between 9 am to 5 pm.” 

This mega drive will see participation from 9594 officers, staff. Also relatives and friends would be participating in this mega drive. 
This drive will be supported by Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad mayor, Commissioner PMC and PCMC, Pune and PCMC standing committee chairman, RTO officer Ajit Shinde, CIRT director Capt Rajendra Saner Patil, Pune, PMC Corporator Shankar Pawar, PMPML CMD Dr. Rajendra Jagtap, Dr. Chetana Kerure, and others. 

Raktache Nate’s Ram Bangad will share the responsibility of the technical aspects of the drive. 

Sassoon hospital, KEM hospital, Sahyadri Hospital, Poona hospital, D Y Patil Hospital, YCM Hospital, Budhrani Hospital, Noble hospital, bharati Hospital will also collect blood bags from this drive. 

The blood donation drive shall be held at : 
PMPML Swargate headquarters, Pimpri Headquarters 2, PMPML Swargate, Katraj, Marketyard, Pune station, N T Wadi, Kothrud, Hadapsar, Shewalewadi, Bhekrai nagar, Nugdi, Bhosari, Pimpri and Balewadi,  a total of 15 locations.
