As part of the development blueprint, several key projects have been proposed, including the creation of a beach-style promenade at Khadakwasla Dam and the beautification of Mulshi Lake with improved safety infrastructure. A major attraction will be the construction of a skywalk at Lonavala.

The plan also includes upgrading road connectivity to prominent forts such as Rajmachi Fort, Lohagad Fort and Tung Fort, along with development works at important religious sites.

In a bid to maintain environmental balance, Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) will be installed in 27 villages under the project.

Authorities stated that the initiative is in line with PMRDA’s long-term vision of developing the region as a sustainable growth hub by balancing infrastructure expansion with environmental conservation.

The project is expected to significantly enhance Pune district’s tourism potential while ensuring inclusive and eco-friendly development.
