A staff member of Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital has been arrested for secretly recording veteran actor Dharmendra and his family inside the intensive care unit (ICU), police confirmed on Wednesday. The video, which leaked online earlier in the day, showed an emotional moment involving the Deol family while the 89-year-old actor was under treatment.

Leaked Video Shows Family Inside ICU

According to reports, Dharmendra had been admitted to the hospital after his health worsened and remained there for several days before being discharged on November 12.
During his stay, rumours falsely claiming his death spread on social media, prompting his wife Hema Malini and daughter Esha Deol to clarify that he was alive and recovering.

The leaked video showed Dharmendra lying on a hospital bed, seemingly unconscious, with Sunny and Bobby Deol standing beside him. Sunny’s sons, Karan and Rajveer, and Dharmendra’s first wife Prakash Kaur were also seen nearby, appearing emotional.
Police identified and arrested the hospital employee who recorded and shared the clip online without permission, violating patient privacy and hospital confidentiality rules. Further investigation is underway.

Family Requests Privacy After Discharge

After Dharmendra’s discharge on Tuesday morning, the Deol family released a statement expressing gratitude to fans and requesting privacy.

“Mr. Dharmendra has been discharged and will continue his recovery at home. We request the media and public to avoid speculation and to respect his and the family’s privacy. We appreciate everyone’s love, prayers, and good wishes for his good health and long life,” the statement read.

The family has now shifted focus to ensuring the actor’s rest and recovery at home.

Sunny Deol Confronts Paparazzi

Soon after Dharmendra returned home, Sunny Deol was seen losing his temper at photographers gathered outside their residence.
Visibly upset, he folded his hands and told them,

“Aap logon ko sharam aani chahiye, aapke ghar mein ma-baap hai. Aapke bachche hain, sharam nahi aati?”
(“You should be ashamed. You have parents and children at home — don’t you feel any shame?”)

Sunny’s outburst appeared to stem from frustration over the constant media attention and noise at a time when his father needs peace to recover.

Dharmendra Recovering At Home

Dharmendra, who faced a recent health scare, is now back home and under medical supervision. His daughter Esha Deol reassured fans, writing on social media,

“My father is stable and recovering. The media is spreading false news. Please give our family privacy.”

The Deol family has urged fans and the press to respect their request for calm while the veteran actor continues his recovery.
