A minor child was brought by his parents to the Swargate Police Station in Pune. The concerned parents pleaded with the police to counsel their son, who was addicted to his mobile phone and nightlife. Feeling helpless, they sought assistance from the police. The officers understood their plight and agreed to counsel the boy.

According to information from Swargate police, the family lives in the Maharshi Nagar area within the Swargate police station limits. The family consists of four members. The parents brought their 16-17-year-old son to the station, seeking help. They explained that their son used his mobile phone late into the night, ignored their advice, and had become addicted to the nightlife. The father had tears in his eyes, and the mother was crying as they shared their concerns. The police, moved by their distress, decided to intervene.

Police Inspector Geeta Bagwade took charge of the counseling session. She spoke to the boy, giving examples of both good and bad events happening in society. She emphasized the importance of education and career at his age. Inspector Bagwade reminded the boy of his parents’ hard work and their sacrifices. She urged him to consider their feelings and future.

Inspector Bagwade’s efforts, along with her colleagues, were successful. The boy realized his mistake and apologized to his parents, promising to change his ways. He assured them he would not repeat his mistakes. The family, grateful and relieved, thanked the police and returned home with smiles.

Inspector Bagwade commented on the incident, noting that this is a sign of a changing society. She mentioned that parents also play a part in such situations by providing mobile phones to children unnecessarily. She advised parents to increase communication with their children. Similar cases had been brought to their attention before, and both parents and children were counseled successfully.
