Police Raid Posh Noida Society: Alcohol, Hookah, and Underage Drinking Found
All detainees, aged 16 to 20, were found engaging in underage drinking, according to the police.
Noida: Police raided a “rave party” organized by college students at a flat in a posh residential society in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Friday night.
Authorities received a tip about the gathering at Supernova residential society in Sector-94, prompting a police team to investigate. They detained 39 students, aged between 16 and 20, from a well-known university. Some of these students were found engaging in underage drinking, which is illegal in Uttar Pradesh for those under 21.
During the raid, police confiscated a large quantity of alcohol bottles labeled from Haryana and hookahs, among other items. The party was reportedly disrupted when liquor bottles were thrown from windows, shattering on the ground floor below.
The police also discovered that invitations for the party had been sent via WhatsApp, with an entry fee of Rs 500 per person and Rs 800 per couple.
A case has also been registered in this regard, the spokesperson added.
