Power supply of 9000 Kondhwa Pisoli consumers affected

Road work at Yeolewadi today broke MSEDCL cables and affected power supply of 9000 consumers keeping them without power supply for 8 hours.

The entire switching station remained off due to this which affected the common residents. The road work affected two 22 KV cables which were broken by the JCB undertaking work in Yeolewadi.

The MSEDCL officials informed that the workers undertaking work ran away after breaking the cables by covering them with soil. Since both the cables were broken, the switching center at Sobha remained completely off, which affected over 9000 consumers from Kondhwa and Pisoli leading no power supply for 8 hours. At 6.30 pm in the evening, MSEDCl was successful in joining one cable and resumed power supply at Sobha Switching center. MSEDCL informed that the second cable was joined at around 7 pm and power supply resumed in the entire area.

The company informed that the consumers were informed through an SMS about the power cut.
