Pune/Mumbai, March 25 – A private bus traveling from Pune to Mumbai caught fire early this morning around 5 AM near Ozarde village on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. The incident involved a Shefali Travels bus, which was completely gutted by the flames. Fortunately, no passengers were injured in the accident.

According to preliminary reports, the accident occurred when the speeding bus lost control while overtaking another vehicle. The bus crashed through the highway’s iron railing and veered off the road. The impact is believed to have sparked the fire.

Firefighters from Vadgaon and Talegaon Dabhade, along with the Devdoot emergency response team deployed on the expressway, worked swiftly to extinguish the blaze. Despite their efforts, the bus was completely destroyed.

Shirgaon Police have launched an investigation into the incident to determine the exact cause of the fire.
