Public parks in temple town shut for 15 days due to increasing cases of eye flu

Nashik Municipal Corporation has decided to close city’s parks for 15 days. This decision has been taken against the backdrop of increasing cases of  eye flu in Nashik city. More than 4,000 cases have been reported so far. In view of this, the civic administration has decided to close the parks in the city as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the infection.

Many people are suffering from infectious eye diseases. However, the health department is urging people not to panic and take precautions. Since eye disease is an infectious and viral disease, it is advised to go to the doctor immediately if there are symptoms of eye disease.

Symptoms of eye disease :

– Having the sensation that your eye has been scratched

– Red and pink eyes

– Itching and burning of the eyes

– The eyelids sticking to each other while waking up from sleep

– Swelling of the eyelids

– Constant tears in the eyes

What precautions would you take if you had eyes?

– Avoid going to public places as soon as symptoms appear- Do not allow one’s own items such as towels, handkerchiefs, pillows, sheets to be used by others

– Avoid coming into direct contact with people at home or outside

– Wash your hands frequently with soap

Avoid constantly touching eyes and face

– Use protective goggles or black glasses

Medication treatment should be done on the advice of a doctor without any treatment on its own

Eye disease is a mild form of disease that lasts for about four to five days. However, even if it is mild in nature, the disease can be completely cured if people do not ignore it and take proper care and timely medication.
