Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Satyasai Kartik has spearheaded a major crackdown on illegal activities in the Lonavala subdivision, leading to the arrest of ten individuals and the seizure of assets worth nearly ₹75 lakh. The operation, which took place on August 12, 2024, targeted an illegal gambling den operating in a bungalow owned by Madavi in Wehregaon.

Among those arrested were Rahul Bharat Ingulkar (34), Santosh Gyanadev Bhotre (36), Mangesh Vitthal Deshmukh (46), Sanjay Vitthal Deshmukh (43), Dinesh Pandurang Gaikwad (40), Chandrakant Hauji Devkar (42), Vinod Sharad Nanekar (42), Ajit Sunil Devkar (29), Mangesh Maruti Rane (40), and Santosh Kashiram Dalvi (45). The group was caught playing “Teen Patti” for money.

During the raid, police found 2.030 grams of MD powder, valued at ₹20,300, in the possession of Santosh Kashiram Dalvi. The total value of seized cash, vehicles, and equipment amounted to ₹74,14,050. The operation was conducted under the supervision of Pune Rural Police Superintendent Pankaj Deshmukh and Additional Police Superintendent Ramesh Chopde. The case has been registered at Lonavala Rural Police Station under FIR No. 249/2024, encompassing violations of the Maharashtra Gambling Act and the NDPS Act. The investigation is ongoing, led by Police Sub-Inspector Sagar Argade.
