Pune : 130 people donated blood in programme organised by We Love You Foundation
A ‘Global Blood Donation Campaign’ was organized, creating awareness about voluntary blood donation was held in Pune too with participation of over 350 members on 13 August 2023. We Love You Foundation (Chairwoman Zhang Gil Zha ), a non-governmental organization of the United Nations Department of Global Communications, organized a Blood Donation Camp at LightHouse, Yerwada.
An official of the We Love You Foundation said, “It is a global life-saving movement where one person’s practice connects two or four people and creates a virtuous cycle of sharing.”
Pune Sassoon Government Hospital provided necessary medical personnel and medical supplies for blood donation so that the participants could donate blood safely. On that day, 130 people managed to donate blood and donated 45500 mL of blood.

Social worker Daniel Landge said that any donation has a unique importance and blood donation is the best donation.
Sushmatai Andhare said “Your work is very beautiful and I also want to join your organization and do such beautiful work”.
Allwin Anthony (38, Wanavadi), said all the members of We Love U Foundation have really, wholeheartedly participated in this Blood Donation camp.
Ashwini Landge (social worker) said that the Love U Foundation Blood Donation Camp has helped Pune people a lot, because if there is a fatal accident, then Blood Donation is very essential .”
