Pune, March 11, 2026: An 18-year-old woman died on the spot after being run over by a speeding Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC) truck in the Susgaon area of Pune on Monday evening. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras, and police have arrested the truck driver.

According to officials from Bavdhan Police Station, the deceased has been identified as Anjali Shankar Salve (18). The accident occurred in Susgaon, within the jurisdiction of the police station.

Police said the incident took place at around 5:30 pm when Anjali was riding her two-wheeler along the Sus–Nande Road. When she reached near Shivba Chowk, a speeding RMC dumper truck approaching from behind allegedly rammed into her motorcycle.

Due to the impact, she fell off the vehicle and came under the wheels of the truck, resulting in her death on the spot.

The shocking accident was recorded on CCTV, and the footage has surfaced online, showing the moment the truck struck the two-wheeler.

Following the incident, police quickly traced and arrested the truck driver, identified as Rajpal Kasbe. In addition, police have registered a case against Ganesh Kalashetti, owner of Surya Construction, for alleged violations of safety norms.

The incident has triggered anger among residents in the Susgaon area, with locals demanding stricter control over the speed of heavy vehicles on internal roads to prevent similar accidents in the future.
