The authorities and Tata Metro Projects will work together to alleviate the traffic congestion in the Balewadi-Baner-Sus Mahalunge area within four days and deploy traffic wardens; if not, there will be demonstrations.
Ex-councilor Amol Balwadkar held discussions with Tata Metro office officials to strategize the resolution of traffic problems in the Balewadi-Baner-Sus Mahalunge area.
Tata Metro Project should assign over 200 extra traffic wardens for the Hinjawadi Shivajinagar Metro. The shortage of wardens frequently leads to traffic jams. Mr. Amol Balwadkar raised this concern with Tata Metro officials.
Traffic jams are a big problem in the Balewadi-Baner region. The roads have also deteriorated, making the situation worse with narrow roads causing congestion in many areas.
Amol Balwadkar, with the Amol Balwadkar Social Foundation, has successfully recruited between ten to fifteen wardens in the Balewadi-Baner area. However, due to increased traffic issues, there is a requirement for more wardens in this area. Amol Balwadkar has made a request to the Pune Municipal Corporation Metro and Traffic Police to appoint at least 50 additional wardens in this locality.
