Pune Airport has implemented its Summer Schedule 2026, effective from 29 March 2026, following approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). This marks an important milestone in enhancing both domestic and international air connectivity for the region. The updated schedule reflects consistent growth in passenger demand and airline operations, further strengthening Pune’s position as a key aviation hub in western India.

This progress has been achieved under the leadership and guidance of the Hon’ble Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Shri Murlidhar Mohol, whose commitment to improving aviation infrastructure and connectivity in Pune has been highly commendable.

On the domestic front, Pune Airport is now connected to 37 destinations across India. Major metro routes such as Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Goa, Ahmedabad, and Jaipur continue to witness the highest flight frequencies. At the same time, the airport plays a crucial role in promoting regional connectivity through direct flights to Nanded, Sindhudurg, Jalgaon, and Kishangarh. This extensive network supports balanced regional development by improving access to both metro cities and tier-2 and tier-3 destinations.

In terms of international travel, Pune Airport continues to offer direct connectivity to three major global destinations: Dubai, Bangkok, and Abu Dhabi. All international routes that were operational during the Winter Schedule have been retained, ensuring seamless travel options for passengers.

A key highlight of the Summer Schedule 2026 is the addition of 15 new operational slots, effective from 1 May 2026. This increases the airport’s total slot capacity to 235, of which 216 are currently in use. The remaining slots will be allocated to airlines based on aircraft availability and route planning, creating opportunities for further expansion.

Taking advantage of the increased slot capacity, several new routes are expected to be introduced soon. These include Bagdogra by Air India, Solapur–Tirupati by Star Air, and Mangalore by Fly91, which will further enhance regional and point-to-point connectivity.

Additionally, airlines are planning to increase flight frequencies on existing routes. New services to Kolkata by SpiceJet, Varanasi by Akasa Air, and Bengaluru by Air India Express are expected to commence shortly, offering greater flexibility and improved travel options for passengers.

Overall, the Summer Schedule 2026 highlights a strong growth trajectory for Pune Airport, driven by increased capacity, network expansion, and continued airline interest. These developments are set to enhance passenger experience, support regional economic growth, and further strengthen Pune’s domestic and international connectivity.
