Pune : Anaira edges out Shubhi in opener of 67th National School Games Squash Championships held in Undri  

Pune, January 11, 2023:   

Anaira Mehta of IBSSO edged out Shubhi Gupta of Madhya Pradesh in the girls under 14 event 07-11, 16-14, 12-10 on the opening day of the 67th National School Games Squash Championships  which is being organised by and sponsored by the Indian Oil and played at the Maharashtra Squash Academy, Undri here today.

In the Boys under 17 event Yash Sonwant of Chhattisgarh carved out a

 11-05, 10-12, 11-03 win over Assam’s 

Kritartha K. 

The tournament was inaugurated by Neeraj Ahluwalia, ED Retail Sales (South West) IOCL, Mr Pradeep Khandre, President of Maharashtra Squash Association. Anil Chormole, Depyuti Director Sports, Mr.Mahadev Kasgawde, District Sports Officer, Mr.Mayank Gupta of Indian Oil, Mr.Anand Lahoti, Secretary, Poona District Squash Association, Mr.Dayanand Kumar, Joint Secretary of MOA, Mr.Kalidas Magar, Mr. Shivaji Koli, Satish Potdar, Nakul Chavan; Sandeep Parekh; Surendra Karwa; and Hrishikesh Bajaj were present on the occasion.
