Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad to get 20 E-double decker buses. Check details

Pune: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has proposed adding new state-of-the-art E-double decker buses to its fleet.

As per further information shared by Satish Gate, PRO, PMPML, this decision of including E-double decker buses with PMPML has been proposed currently. When the final decision is taken for this, 12 buses will run in Pune, while 8 buses will run in Pimpri-Chinchwad.

These new double decker buses will be very attractive, colorful and comfortable.

Now, as the need of the hour, AC E-buses are proposed to ply on the roads of Pune.

The first E-bus entered the fleet of PMPML in 2019. It has got good response. Lakhs of Pune commuters travel by this bus every day. Accordingly, the number of charging stations have also been increased.

Some features of the proposed E-double decker Buses : 

· The thrill of travelling on the upper-deck will be the same as in Mumbai double-decker buses. 

· The double decker buses in the PMPML fleet will be similar to the ‘BEST’ double-decker buses of Mumbai.

· The E-double decker buses will be able to carry around 36 passengers on the upper deck, 36 passengers on the lower deck, and 11 standing passengers.
