As per the weather forecast, Maharashtra is expected to receive heavy rainfall in the coming days. A red alert has been issued, warning of heavy to very heavy rain in certain parts of Konkan and Madhya Maharashtra. An orange alert has been issued for Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg. With consistent rainfall in the Konkan region, the Meteorological Department has advised authorities to plan their activities accordingly.

Due to the heavy rains, tourist destinations are likely to attract large crowds. To ensure the safety of tourists and maintain smooth traffic flow, the Pune Police, in collaboration with the Lonavala Police and Pune Rural Police, have made necessary preparations. Police personnel will be deployed at key locations for security measures and traffic management. Moreover, overcrowding at tourist spots increases the risk of accidents. To address such situations, the police have set up a helpline number, 112, for citizens to seek assistance in times of trouble.
