Pune, November 6, 2024: A senior manager of a well-known bank in Hadapsar has been accused of inappropriate behavior toward a female employee and allegedly threatening her with a transfer when she protested. A case has been filed against the bank manager following a complaint lodged by the woman at the Hadapsar police station.

According to the complaint, the incident occurred when the woman, an employee at the bank, was on her way to work. The manager reportedly stopped her, commenting on her attire and suggesting they go to a hotel instead of the bank. When the woman refused and insisted on being dropped at the bank, he complied but allegedly threatened to transfer her if she disclosed the incident.

Following her refusal, the manager is accused of subjecting her to mental harassment, frequently pointing out mistakes in her work and creating a hostile work environment. Eventually, the woman was transferred multiple times—from the Hadapsar branch to Warje and Market Yard branches, and then to the divisional office at Deccan Gymkhana.

Fearful and distressed by the continued harassment, the woman ultimately approached the police. Hadapsar police is further investigating in the case.
