Pune: Amol Kolhe Criticizes Mahayuti’s “Empty Promises” in Ajit Pawar’s Manifesto
Pimpri-Chinchwad: Shirur constituency Member of Parliament Amol Kolhe recently delivered a scathing critique of Ajit Pawar’s manifesto, claiming the promises made by the Mahayuti alliance are mere empty declarations. Kolhe pointed out a supposed “printing error” in Pawar’s manifesto, mocking it by saying, “We’ll bring you the moon.”
Kolhe humorously suggested that a line must have been left out due to a printing mistake. He questioned the motives behind the Mahayuti’s political maneuvers, particularly criticizing their efforts to form a government through defections and what he called unconstitutional tactics, despite Maharashtra carrying an enormous debt of 8.5 trillion rupees.
Kolhe further questioned the “Ladki Bahin Yojana,” which he claimed was introduced due to decreased vote share in the Lok Sabha elections. He noted that in recent months, funds have been directed to select initiatives, while other schemes have been left to languish. Kolhe argued that promises to stabilize prices made by the current government were laughable, questioning if the government had managed to control prices of even ten essential goods over the past two years.
In conclusion, Kolhe dismissed Mahayuti’s manifesto promises as empty claims, asserting that the party is making unrealistic assurances because it knows it may not come to power.
