Pune based film makers’ film chosen for ‘National Short Film Competition’

Pune: ‘Shur Mahila Covid Yoddha’- a short film  directed by Pune’s young director Sukhada Balkrishna Damle,  has been selected for final round of  the ‘National Short Film Competition’ organised by Bhartiya Stree Shakti and Mumbai University. The short film competition is based on theme ‘Breaking Gender Stereotypes’ . Prize distribution ceremony is organized on 3 January 2022 at hands of Mrunal Kulkarni, noted Marathi film actress . 

Synopsis of the film : 
This is a story of a Nirmala and her Husband. Nirmala works in a Covid Hospital as a helper. Her husband works as a watchman in one of the housing societies. When people living in the society come to know that Nirmala works in a Covid hospital, they ask their watchman to leave the place to safeguard the society. Her husband does not like the approach of society and wishes to leave the place, but Nirmala understands the Societies concern. Her husband insists Nirmala to leave the job. Nirmala prefers her duty against her family and decides to leave the house and stay in the hospital to perform her duty.
