Bavdhan: Bavdha Citizens Forum (BCF) along with Member of Parliament Supriya Sule on Thursday met Pune Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar to appraise him about the various issues faced by the residents in the area.  While participating in an event last week, MP Sule had promised to lend her support to get a solution for the problems faced.

In Thursday’s meeting, various issues were discussed with PMC Commissioner Vikram Kumar and solutions were reached for many problems. TBavdhan residents have been facing frequent power cuts and therefore they were requesting the administration to give them a substation of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) so the electricity supply will not get affected frequently. They had  followed-up with Collector, MSEDCL and PMC.  In Thursday’s meeting, they got the No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Commissioner which has cleared the path of land where the substation can now be constructed.

On exorbitantly charged property tax, PMC commissioner Vikram Kumar said no reduction can be made.

“Today we had a fruitful discussion with the PMC Commissioner on various topics that we are facing and the Commissioner helped us with a few issues. The major substation problem is  solved and pending work of the school, closure of e-toilets, increasing of cleanliness staff, etc issues were discussed with the commissioner,” said Manish Deo, a member of BCF.

MP Supriya Sule, present in the meeting, said that the problems faced by citizens should be solved. A follow up meeting has been scheduled for February 20. She also assured BCF members that she will be available to help, even if PMC is not available.
