In a development set to bolster connectivity between two major Indian cities, Pune and Belagavi, Rajya Sabha MP Iranna Kadadi has unveiled plans for the revival of flight services. After a pause of several months, the Delhi-Belagavi and Pune-Belagavi routes are ready to take off again, thanks to the efforts of two prominent airlines.

MP Kadadi took to Twitter to share the promising news. He announced that Star Air will initiate daily operations from Pune to Belagavi starting October 29, while IndiGo Airlines will follow suit with flights three times a week (Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday) from October 31.

Aviation expert Dhairyashil Vandekar, also the President of Vithalrao Vandekar Foundation, welcomed the decision, emphasizing the significant benefits it will bring. He noted that the resumption of Pune-Belagavi flights, which were discontinued under the regional connectivity scheme ‘Udaan’ a year ago, will particularly aid those in sectors like IT and business. Vandekar further underscored the importance of air connectivity between Pune and Nashik, pushing for similar initiatives in the future.

The renewed flight services not only promise increased ease of travel but also hold the potential to boost economic activities between the two thriving cities. This announcement serves as a testament to the efforts to enhance connectivity and accessibility for travelers and businesses alike.
