A young man who had traveled from Baramati to meet his girlfriend was brutally beaten to death, according to an incident that has come to light. The victim, a 22-year-old Baramati resident named Sangram Hanumant Salunke, was the victim of this violence. In response, Bibwewadi Police filed a murder case against five people—two of whom were minors.

As per further information from Pune Police, a woman from the Ambegaon Pathar area was acquainted with the late Sangram Salunke, and the two had grown close. According to reports, Renuse was informed of Sangram’s visit to the Bibwewadi area for a rendezvous with his girlfriend.

On December 2, Sangram came to Bibwewadi near a Satara Road servicing center. There, he was taken by force on a two-wheeler by the accused to a place close to a gas godown in the Upper Indira Nagar area. He suffered severe injuries as a result of a vicious assault that took place there. When police learned of the incident, they moved quickly to intervene. Sangram was taken to the hospital immediately, but in spite of treatment, he passed away due to severe injuries. 

After the extent of the injuries sustained during the assault was discovered through medical examinations, the case was upgraded from sudden death to murder. A thorough investigation is presently being carried out by Bibwewadi Police into the situation.

The FIR has been filed against 5 unidentified accused & their partner under Sections 302, 364, 147, 143, 149 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Further investigation into the matter in going on.
