Pune: Biker Dies on the Spot After Being Hit by Speeding Dumper in Lohegaon

Pune Accident News: Drunk Crane Operator Crashes Into IAF Officer’s Vehicle on Sinhagad Road
A 22-year-old biker lost his life after being hit by a dumper on the D.Y. Patil College road in Lohegaon. The accident occurred on Monday around 12 PM. The deceased has been identified as Swapnil Prakash Salve.
According to police, Swapnil was riding his motorcycle (MH 14 MD 6357) from Dudulgaon to Kesnand via D.Y. Patil College Road. Near Hindustan Kirana, Moze Nagar Lane No. 3, a dumper (MH 12 RM 4558) hit him.
He was crushed under the rear wheels and died on the spot. The dumper driver, Venkata Gurappa Pawar, fled but was later caught by the police.
The victim was a resident of Yavat, Daund, Pune. He was pursuing a B. Pharm degree at Gyanvilas College of Pharmacy, Dudulgaon.
He lived with friends in Kesnand and worked at a medical shop in Chandan Nagar. He regularly traveled on the same route. His sudden death has left locals in shock.
As per Lokmat times, Madhav Dhondiba Sable (53), a resident of MIDC Dongre Vasti, Nighoj, Chakan, filed a police complaint. A case has been registered against dumper driver Venkata Gurappa Pawar under IPC Section 106, 281, and MV Act 184. Further investigation is being conducted by Senior Police Inspector Ajay Sankeshwari, Sub-Inspector Akshay Sonawane, and their team.
