Pune, March 17: Commuters using the Pune-Mumbai Expressway will have to pay higher toll charges from April 1, as the rates are set to increase by 3%. This hike applies to highways under the jurisdiction of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC).
According to NHAI officials, the toll rates are revised annually on April 1, with the increase varying based on vehicle type. Heavier vehicles will see a greater hike compared to lighter ones.
For four-wheelers, a single journey toll will rise by ₹5, while a round trip will cost an additional ₹10. Other vehicle categories will experience an average increase of ₹15 to ₹20, as per officials.
