Pune, October 17, 2025: The much-awaited Pune Book Festival 2025 will return this year in its grand third edition from December 13 to December 21 at the Fergusson College Grounds. The festival promises a vibrant celebration of reading culture, Indian literary traditions, and modern literary expressions.

This year, the festival will feature 800 stalls of books in Indian languages, a six-day Literature Festival, a Children’s Corner with competitions and workshops, an Author Corner, daily book launches, and a variety of cultural programs. Organizers Yuvraj Malik (Director, National Book Trust) and Rajesh Pandey (Chief Coordinator, Pune Book Festival) shared these details at a press conference on Thursday.

Supported by Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune Municipal Corporation, Deccan Education Society, and Samarth Yuva Foundation, and fully backed by the Maharashtra State Department of Culture, the festival is expected to attract over 1.5 million readers and book enthusiasts and generate multi-crore business.

This year, the Literature Festival will run for six days, with three days dedicated to Marathi literary, educational, and intellectual programs, and the remaining three days featuring literature in other languages. The Children’s Corner will include art and elocution competitions, workshops, and innovative activities. Photography competitions on the theme “Joy of Reading” and over 30 food stalls will also be part of the festival. The grand closing ceremony is scheduled for December 21.

According to organizers, the Pune Book Festival is not just a gathering of books but a celebration of knowledge, culture, creativity, and national spirit, inviting students, parents, and citizens to participate in large numbers.
