Pune: Chandrakant Patil Announces Plan for a Separate University for the Disabled
Speaking at a special event organized by the Samutkarsh Social Foundation at Ashish Garden in Kothrud, Patil highlighted that this move will offer significant relief and provide much-needed educational opportunities for people with disabilities. Chandrakant Patil, the Mahayuti candidate for the Kothrud Assembly Constituency, reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to the welfare of the disabled community, announcing plans to establish a dedicated university for people with disabilities.
The program, attended by Dhananjay Rasal of the Samutkarsh Social Foundation, BJP leaders like Balasaheb Temkar, Sushil Mengde, and other distinguished guests, saw Patil underline the Mahayuti government’s long-standing support for the disabled. Drawing on his personal experience working with NGOs and individuals dedicated to aiding the disabled, Patil expressed his commitment to addressing their challenges.
“I have worked closely with many NGOs and individuals who are committed to improving the lives of people with disabilities. The Mahayuti government has always stood by our disabled brothers and sisters. As part of this commitment, the government has decided to establish a university specifically for the disabled, which will provide specialized education and open up new opportunities for personal and professional growth,” Patil said.
This decision is expected to bring about a significant positive change for the disabled community, offering access to inclusive education and a dedicated platform for development. The university will focus on meeting the unique educational needs of students with disabilities, closing long-standing gaps in accessibility and support.
Patil assured the audience that the government is determined to continue addressing the challenges faced by the disabled. “This initiative is just the first step. I will remain committed to resolving the issues faced by the disabled, ensuring they receive the opportunities and support they truly deserve,” he added.
