Pune City Police Undergo Major Reshuffle As 25 Inspectors Shifted  

Pune, January 31, 2026: Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar has ordered the immediate transfer of 25 police inspectors across the city, including the promotion of six crime inspectors to the rank of senior police inspector, as part of an administrative exercise aimed at improving operational efficiency and supervisory oversight.

The reshuffle, announced on Thursday, affects multiple police stations and specialized branches, including the crime branch, traffic department, economic offences wing, and welfare branch.

Among the key postings, PI Jayant Rajurkar, previously attached to the crime branch at Sahakarnagar, has been appointed Senior Police Inspector (SPI) at Samarth police station. PI Raghavendrasinh Kshirsagar, earlier with the welfare branch, has taken charge as SPI at Uttamnagar, while PI Vinay Patankar has been transferred from the police control room to Sinhagad in the same capacity.

PI Maruti Patil has moved from the traffic branch from Kondhwa to Yeolewadi, and PI Santosh Khetmalis, formerly with the Economic Offences Wing (EOW), has been posted as SPI at Lashkar police station.

Additional senior-level changes include PI Nandkumar Gaikwad, shifted from Parvati to Wagholi, PI Manisha Patil from Market Yard to Lohgaon, and PI Vishwajit Jagtap from Lohegaon to Market Yard.

PI Rajendra Sahane has been transferred from the traffic branch to Parvati, while PI Mahesh Bolkotgi has moved from Shivajinagar to Warje Malwadi, both as senior police inspectors.

At the inspector level, PI Umesh Gite has been transferred from Samarth to handle crime at Laxminagar, and PI Mohan Khandare has moved from Uttamnagar to the Economic Offences Wing.

PI Dilip Daigade has been posted from Sinhagad to the crime branch, while PI Amar Kalange has been shifted from Yeolewadi to the crime unit at Shivajinagar.

PI Yuvraj Hande and PI Vishwajit Kaingade have been transferred to the crime branch from Wagholi and Warje Malwadi, respectively.

Further changes include PI Maya Devre, moved from the crime branch to the traffic department, and PI Manojkumar Londhe, posted to the crime unit at Sahakarnagar.

PI Nilesh Badakh has been assigned crime responsibilities at Mundhwa, while PI Pallavi Meher has been shifted from Yerawada to Wagholi in the crime branch.

Meanwhile, PI Nitin Pandurang Bhoyar has been transferred from the crime branch at Sinhagad Road to the special branch, and PI Jitendra Kadam has been moved to the welfare branch.

PI Sunita Navle has been appointed to head the crime wing at Yeolewadi, PI Dhananjay Pingale has shifted from Shivajinagar crime to the traffic branch, and PI Girish Dighavkar has been posted as Senior Police Inspector at Shivajinagar, moving from Lashkar.

All officers have been instructed to take charge of their new assignments with immediate effect, officials said.
