Pune : Class 10 student dies of electrocution in Deshmukhwadi at Shivane

Pune: A student studying in Class 10 of Navbharat High School in Shivane died of electrocution after coming in contact with a wired fence in Deshmukhwadi area on June 27, Tuesday. The deceased is identified as Shubham Ingole. 

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Kiran Balwadkar, Police Inspector, Uttam Nagar Police Station said,  “The incident occurred during the morning hours on June 27 when the deceased was going to meet his friend living in Deshmukhwadi area. At that time, he came in contact with a wired fence and received an electric shock.”

As per information, the locals found the student and immediately called an ambulance. He was rushed to Sassoon Hospital where he was announced dead. The police have registered a case of accidental death. Post mortem is going on after which the details of the student’s death will be clear. The chief electrical inspector is doing the electrical inspection in the area.

As per information from Nishikant Raut, PRO, MSEDCL, the Chief Electrical Inspector’s Office comes under the State government’s Industrial, Energy and Labour Department, which is entirely independent from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL).
