Nationalist Congress Party Pune city president and former corporator of Wanowrie Prashant Jagtap informed today that the residents of Wanowrie will stage protest if Pune Municipal Corporation fails to take action against people dumping construction debris on open spaces in the area which may cause severe water logging in monsoon.

Jagtap further stated that there is a huge piece of land which is unused. And often during monsoon water which flows naturally gets percolated on the ground. But for the last few days there have been some builders who are dumping their construction debris on the land which may lead to severe water logging in societies like Flower Valley, Sacred Heart Town, Anusuya Enclave and Aishwarya Residency.

He further told that PMC in the coming three days must take action against the builder who is dumping as this may cause severe consequences to Wanowrie residents. If PMC fails to take any action, a Morcha will be held after Wednesday next week, i.e, February 7.

Jagtap informed that there is no personal interest in this land but the administration should not allow any wrongdoings in the area which may trouble thousands of people living around the area.

Local residents around the area have been demanding that PMC should take action on such activities which may lead to severe consequences.
