Arijit Singh’s Pune Concert Today: Traffic Advisory, Road Closures & Alternate Routes
Last year, Arijit Singh’s concert in Pune was a musical delight for fans, but a traffic nightmare for authorities. To avoid a repeat of the chaos, Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory for his upcoming concert on March 16.
The concert, organized by Plantos Venture Pvt. Ltd., will take place at the Gahunje Stadium, Maharashtra Cricket Association, within the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate limits. Anticipating a large crowd, the police are taking proactive measures to manage traffic flow and ensure public safety.
The advisory includes road closures and alternate routes to help alleviate congestion and potential law and order issues.
From Mumbai
From the Expressway:
Dehu Road Exit: Turn left, then left again onto the service road next to Mamurdi to reach the stadium.
Kiwale Bridge: Vehicles coming from the expressway should U-turn at Kiwale Bridge, head towards Mukai Chowk, and take the service road to the stadium.
From Other Areas:
Shitla Devi Mandir: Turn left and follow the service road via Lekha Farm.
Central Chowk: Take a left turn from Kiwale Bridge towards Krishna Chowk, and proceed to parking.
Old Mumbai-Pune Highway: Take a U-turn from Central Chowk to Sai Nagar Phata for parking.
Prohibitions:
Vehicles from the old Mumbai-Pune highway, Somatane Phata, and the underpass near Mamurdi Zakatanaka are prohibited.
From Pune-Bangalore Highway:
After Pawanadi Bridge: Turn left from Kiwale Bridge and take the service road to the stadium.
From Nigdi and Hanging Bridge:
Ravet Chowk, Bhondve Chowk, Krishna Chowk: Turn right at each of these junctions and head towards the stadium.
Access Restrictions:
Gahunje Bridge to Y Junction: Only vehicles with car passes and essential service vehicles will be allowed through this area.
Prohibitions and Alternative Routes:
Ruhiz Biryani to Masulkar Farm: Prohibited. Use Mamurdi Zakatnaka as an alternative route.
Marimata Chowk to Kivale Nala to Masulkar Farm: Prohibited. Use Krishna Chowk as an alternative route.
After the event, towards Mumbai and Kivale via Mukai Chowk and Kivale underpass: Prohibited. Use the following alternative route:
Turn left from Mukai Chowk.
* Proceed through Sameer Lawns.
* Continue to Kivale village.
Heavy Vehicle Restrictions (13:00 to 24:00 hrs):
* Mamurdi to Kanetkar Bungalow and Gahunje Stadium: Entry closed for all heavy vehicles.
* Krishna Chowk to Mamurdi underpass and service road adjacent to Mamurdi village to Gahunje Stadium: Entry closed for all heavy vehicles.
Important Reminders:
Follow Designated Routes: Please use the specified routes and avoid using internal roads in Mamurdi village.
Single-Lane Driving: The service roads leading to the stadium are narrow. Please cooperate by driving in a single lane to ensure smooth traffic flow.
