Pune : Customs Officials Seize Gold Worth Rs 33 Lakh Concealed In Passenger’s Rectum at Pune Airport
On 11th September, customs officials have seized gold from a passenger coming from Dubai to Pune by SG 52 flight which was concealed in his rectum.
As per information, a passenger, coming from Dubai via SG 52 to Pune, was apprehended at Pune Airport on 11 September 2023. Upon questioning and enquiry, two capsules of gold paste were found concealed in the rectum. Upon extraction, 555.6 grams of 24 Karat Gold was seized. The amount of gold seized is worth Rs 33.93 lakh.
Also, two persons who came to receive and pick up the gold were detained at the arrival gate of the airport. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
