Pune: Dangerous Condition Of Slope Opposite Royale Heritage Mall Poses Risk, Calls For Action From PMC 

Residents and visitors to the NIBM road, Undri, Mohammadwadi area have long been concerned about the perilous state of the slope opposite the Royale Heritage Mall. Despite repeated appeals to the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) over the past three years, the situation remains dire, endangering lives and resulting in tragic fatalities.

Shabbir Garhiwala, a concerned citizen, has drawn attention to the hazardous conditions prevailing on the slope, which have already claimed the lives of two individuals. Despite efforts to engage the PMC in repairing the slope, no action has been taken thus far.

In light of these urgent concerns, Garhiwala calls upon the authorities and the community to prioritize the repair of the slope without further delay. Lives are at stake, and swift action is imperative to prevent further tragedies.

Pune Pulse has also been taking up the issue with the Pune Municipal Corporation for a long time. After consistent follow up by Pune Pulse and the local residents, the roads between Marvel Sangria and Dorabjee Paradise bungalows and NIBM Cloud 9 road that the PMC took up the concretising and gradient reduction work of the road. Over the last few years, this road has gained importance but needs urgent attention from PMC as it needs levelling as well as gradient reduction. 

Another resident from Undri pointed out that there are cement mixers, RMC trucks, water tankers, building equipment carriers plying from this area throughout the day making the area look dusty leading to air borne diseases.
