Pune: Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra has issued a directive to revoke the proposal that was previously approved by the Agricultural Produce Market Committee to establish a fish market at the parking lot of the market yard area in Pune.

As per the information provided, Parvati constituency MLA Madhuri Misal has expressed concerns regarding the densely populated area and the potential health hazards that may arise from the proposed fish market.

Additionally, the residents of the area have vehemently opposed the establishment of the fish market, and the Deputy Chief Minister has taken into account the public sentiment in his decision to cancel the proposal. Misal has also reported that a protest march was organized by the Sakal Sarvadharma Pune Pariwar to voice their opposition to the decision, and she participated in the march to express her dissent.
