Pune: Devotees Gather In Large Numbers For Vishu Celebrations At Geeta Ashram
Pune, April 18, 2026: Vishu, the traditional festival marking the Malayalam New Year, was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Geeta Ashram in Pimpri, drawing a large number of devotees.
The programme began with collective chanting of “Om,” creating a spiritual atmosphere as devotees participated in the ritual in large numbers. The gathering reflected the continued popularity of the annual celebration, which has become a significant event for the local community.
This was followed by a brief discourse by Amit Kasture, Chief Trustee of Geeta Ashram, who spoke about the cultural and spiritual essence of Vishu. Priyadarshini P.K., a disciple of Guruji Shri Padmanabhan Krishnadasaji, also addressed the devotees, explaining the scientific and spiritual significance of the festival.

Later in the event, Guruji Shri Padmanabhan Krishnadasaji blessed devotees by distributing “Kaineetam” (a symbolic coin) along with prasadam, a gesture considered auspicious during Vishu celebrations.
Geeta Ashram, established in 1998 by followers of Guruji, is located in Khadki and is known for its focus on spiritual learning and service. The ashram follows the principle of “Nar Seva, Narayan Seva,” emphasizing service to humanity as a form of devotion to God.
The ashram regularly conducts activities such as bhajans, spiritual talks, pujas, yoga and pranayama sessions, Sanskrit classes, and guidance in astrology. All programs and services are offered free of cost, making it a center for spiritual engagement and learning in the city.
