The Pune district administration has made significant changes to its polling stations to ensure smoother voting experience in the upcoming 2024 assembly elections. The location of 29 polling booths across 11 talukas has been changed, and 54 polling centers have been renamed . This decision was made to address concerns regarding accessibility and basic facilities at earlier centers, some of which were located in dilapidated buildings.

The changes are expected to benefit voters, with Deputy Election Officer Minal Kalaskar stating that the relocation was necessary as vehicles couldn’t reach some polling stations . Additionally, 45 auxiliary polling stations have been set up, bringing the total count to 8,462 in Pune district.

The voter count in the district has reached 88.49 lakh, with 92,000 citizens added to the supplementary list in the last two months . Voters can visit the official CEO Maharashtra website to check their names in the 2024 voters list and download the electoral roll PDF.
